Plate names use the authors' [plate-ID list](https://zenodo.org/api/records/11601026/files/Muller_etal_2019_plateID_list.xlsx/content). Unlisted IDs appear as "Tectonic block <id>". Individual polygon feature names are not used as plate-wide labels.

Country clipping, display simplification and rotation sampling by Tiny to Vast. This is a rigid-block reconstruction of modern country footprints. It does not calculate deformation, ancient borders, coastlines, vegetation, terrain or ice. The satellite view moves present-day imagery with the reconstructed fragments. Missing or no-longer-valid fragments are omitted.

Model anchor plate: 0. Time range: 0–200 Ma. The atlas contains 177 country/territory records, 1,159 land fragments, 290 model block IDs and 720 sampled ages including exactly 0.2 Ma. It uses spherical linear interpolation between samples. Source hashes and processing parameters are embedded in atlas.json; build validation is in build-report.json.
